About

Work isn’t breaking in the ways organisations expect. Across many organisations there is a growing legitimacy gap — the distance between what institutions say they are and what people inside them actually believe. When that gap widens, we see all the strains modern work is feeling. People show up, they do their jobs, but they don't put in extra effort. Why? Because they stop believing the system will reward contribution. Over time this weakens leadership authority, talent pipelines and organisational capability. Many organisations interpret these shifts as a generational problem. But in reality, generational change is simply the flashlight revealing a deeper structural shift. I work with organisations to understand where this legitimacy gap is forming and how it is shaping behaviour across leadership layers, from emerging professionals to senior leadership teams. My advisory work focuses on diagnosing how leadership, authority and organisational pressure interact inside modern workplaces, and strengthening the capabilities required to operate in them. The work is structured around my A.I.R. Framework (Alignment • Influence • Resilience), a capability architecture designed to help professionals build clarity, influence and resilience in fast-changing organisations. Before this work I spent fifteen years operating inside high-pressure institutions across law, government and international film production, including work on the James Bond franchise. Alongside my advisory work I write The Room, a newsletter decoding how work actually functions inside modern organisations, and I’m currently producing The Legitimacy Gap, a video series exploring how Gen Z understands the world of work.
