  • Juleo was an AI Matchmaker (powered by India Stack and Gemini), responsibly tackling one of the largest unsolved consumer internet problems of our time - finding a romantic partner. We replicated at digital scale the UX of the traditional human matchmaker, which is a safer, more responsible and more efficient way to find your one v/s the dating/matrimony apps that have caused widespread burnout and mental health issues. India Stack enabled Govt ID VKYC and criminal verification of every Member. Gemini smartly segmented users so that you only saw curated, compatible Members in our Trusted Singles Club, with whom you actually had a real shot.
  • We raised $2.5M from 182 individual angels including 7 unicorn founders, serial entrepreneurs with exits, tech & consumer industry stalwarts and investment professionals/bankers. With this we hired a 20 member strong Valley caliber team that built & iterated to product market fit, with several Juleo weddings & relationships across India. However, it wasn't enough to get institutional investors to buy into our vision with the baggage of past carcasses in the category, and we closed our service when capital ran out.
  • Some notable milestones:
  • 0 scams, fake identities and criminal reports which is unheard of in the category
  • 500K installs and 150K Club applicants
  • 26% new to category users and 70% users who weren't using any other dating/matrimony app at the time
  • Nearly 50% of all 1:1 conversations that happened were "good"
  • 90% of all those who attended a 3:3 Juleo Small Group Event liked it and 25% left paired
  • 95% of those who attended a 10:10 Video Speed Dating event liked it and 45% left paired
  • 40% DAU/MAU; 70% WAU/MAU; 67% of our women WAU had a conversation every week
  • 20-25% conversion for Club Memberships purchase, with plans from INR 1,000 - 25,000
