• Climate is not changing, it has changed. Government actions alone, all over the world is not proving enough. Since each person is using energy and material, hence each person is contributing to climate change. We need to brings billions of people on board to take actions towards climate correction.
• In order to create such a public movement, Energy Swaraj Foundation has been formed, which is not for profit organisation. We believe that it is the use of carbon based fuel that has created problem of climate change and it is the use of solar energy, that will solve the problem, if done in appropriate manner. Energy Swaraj is energy by local for local. Energy Swaraj needs to be adopted for every individual, institutions and every country. It will help to not only solve the problem of energy, but also create jobs, strengthen local economy, enhance energy security, save foreign exchange, empower women, but also it will help in mitigating climate change.
• Also, to create a public movement an 11 years long Energy Swaraj Yatra has been undertaken by me to reach out to masses and bring them awareness abut climate change and encourage them to take actions.
• I live in a specially designed solar bus. I have also pledged to not go home for 11 years and live in the bus to create Energy Swaraj as public movement.
• The Foundation runs with the support of people. We do not take any government funding.
