As Senior Director of Engineering at Coinbase for the past 7 years - and with prior roles at Airbnb and Square - I bring deep expertise in high-frequency, high-performance trading systems, financial risk and fraud prevention, compliance infrastructure, and international expansion. I’ve led the development of global payments platforms supporting multiple currencies and jurisdictions, with a strong understanding of both traditional finance and the web3 ecosystem. I believe in hands-on technical leadership. While I’ve managed large, cross-functional engineering organizations, I stay close to the technology to ensure alignment between engineering execution and business outcomes. With a PhD in Computer Science and over 20 years in software engineering, I’ve found the greatest impact comes when engineering is integrated with product and business strategy.
