About

👋 Hi, I’m Scott. I serve as the CEO of ISC2, the world’s leading nonprofit association for cybersecurity professionals, where we work to create a safe and secure cyber world by strengthening the global cybersecurity workforce. I lead our efforts to grow member value, expand the talent pipeline, and prepare our profession for AI, quantum, and emerging threats. Over the past 25+ years, I’ve led mission-driven organizations at scale. This includes founding Atlas Corps, a global social enterprise that developed more than 1,000 leaders from 100+ countries, as well as serving as the head of Global Operations at the Peace Corps, overseeing 2,500 staff and thousands of Volunteers across 64 countries. My work has been centered at the intersection of government, nonprofits, and international development, with a deep focus on workforce development, leadership, and innovation. I’m particularly passionate about strengthening the member community at ISC2; building a strong and diverse cybersecurity workforce; and vigorously pursuing the vision of a safe and secure cyberworld. Throughout my career, I’ve coached CEOs and senior leaders, spoken and taught on leadership in a changing world, and written about leadership and social impact for a community of 59K followers and 15K newsletter subscribers. Outside of work, I’m a proud husband & dad, distance runner, triathlete, and lifelong traveler, and have lived in eight countries. 🔔 If you’d like to stay in touch, you can follow me here on LinkedIn and subscribe to my leadership newsletter: https://bit.ly/ScottsLeadershipMatters. I’m always open to thoughtful collaborations around cybersecurity workforce, leadership, and impact.
