Neha Aggarwal Sharma OLY — CEO
Table tennis has been my life, on and off the court, since 1997. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of winning 80+ National and 40+ International medals, climbing to rank 1 in India and rank 18 in the world. But what truly defines my journey isn’t just the accolades; it’s the moments of growth and the people I’ve met along the way. Some of my proudest achievements include: - Winning the Junior National Championship 4 times. - Representing India internationally in 2001. - Becoming the youngest & the only woman to represent India in TT at the 2008 Olympics. - Winning Gold at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games. - Earning 3 bronze medals in the Commonwealth Championships (2009 & 2013). In 2014, I had to take a step back from active sports at the age of 25. And I consider myself incredibly lucky to still be associated with the sport in one form or another. I firmly believe that Indian athletes need personalized support from a young age to win at the highest levels—a support I felt was lacking during my career. This belief led me to study Sports Management at Columbia University, where I gained a deeper understanding of the global sports ecosystem. I worked with the US Olympic Committee, ITTF, and ESPN, taking on roles in media, website editing, commentary, and presenting. Today, as Chief Partnerships Officer at Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), I work to create opportunities and systems that nurture Indian athletes and para-athletes, ensuring they can focus on what matters—winning, both in competitions and in life. Through my journey, I’ve learned the immense power of sport to transform lives, especially the lives of young athletes and women. So now, I am dedicated to paying it forward by helping the next generation of talent achieve their dreams, just as I did, and bringing pride to India.
