Oded Poncz is the co-founder and CEO of DragonflyDB, the world’s most performant data store for modern cloud workloads. Dragonfly is an in-memory datastore built to power data-intensive workloads at sub-millisecond latency with high efficiency. Prior to Dragonfly, Oded co-founded two technology companies focused on large-scale data and real-time systems. He was co-founder and CTO of Ubimo, a location intelligence platform. The company was acquired by Quotient Technology Inc. (QUOT) in 2019. Earlier, Oded co-founded LabPixies, where he served as VP R&D, building highly scalable consumer-facing applications serving more than 70 million monthly unique users. LabPixies was acquired by Google in 2010. Following the LabPixies acquisition, Oded joined Google as an Engineering Manager, leading teams responsible for large-scale data pipelines supporting Google+. His work at Google focused on building and operating distributed systems at global scale. Oded is a hands-on technology entrepreneur with deep experience across ideation, system design, development, and execution, as well as organizational leadership. For over two decades, he has worked on high-performance infrastructure, distributed systems, and data platforms, driven by a clear mission: create technology solutions for big-scale problems by simplifying complex systems and removing performance bottlenecks to radically accelerate how data is processed and served at scale.
