About

I'm a partner at Albert Sellars LLP, a public interest technology and media law firm. I work with clients who want to make a positive impact on the world, and who need counseling on issues ranging from fair use to the Comstock Act. Prior to founding Albert Sellars, I spent seven years practicing and teaching students to practice technology law at the Cyberlaw Clinic at Harvard Law School. I also served as the director of the Initiative for a Representative First Amendment from 2019 to 2024. I hold a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and a B.H.A. in Drama and History from Carnegie Mellon University. Outside of my law practice, I write and speak on a broad range of issues related to gender, technology, and power. My writing has appeared in The New York Times, Wired, Logic Magazine, and Tech Policy Press, as well as in academic venues such as FAccT, NeurIPS, Columbia Human Rights Law Review, Harvard Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, and the Yale Journal of Law and Technology. I have also spoken at numerous conferences and events, including Blackhat (twice!), USENIX Enigma, the ALA Annual Conference, GDC, Rightscon, and ICLR.
