• Lead Engineering and Product Management for AWS Elemental's product lines and seven AWS Services. My team has launched 6 native AWS services covering transcoding (AWS Elemental MediaLive and MediaConvert), Packaging and Origination (AWS Elemental MediaPackage), Storage (AWS Elemental MediaStore), and Monetization /Personalized Ad Insertion (AWS Elemental MediaTailor).
• Our appliance business covers packaging, transcoding (both Live and VoD), and comes in numerous versatile form factors. In fact, we put an Elemental encoding appliance in space on board the International Space Station to stream the world's first Live 4K stream for space!

• Hands on leader for DynamoDB, SimpleDB, ALF, and ALFBus (the service that powers Kinesis, DynamoDB Streams, MemoryDB). Scaled the engineering org to several hundred engineers to innovate on and operate one of the most mission critical services at Amazon.

• TA to Charlie Bell, the SVP of AWS Utility Computing. I shadowed Charlie within AWS and across Amazon. I actively worked with service team owners to add bandwidth to Charlie and helped streamline service launches. I represented AWS to executives and developers at strategic customers, identifying pain points and translating their feedback into requirements for our services. I helped our sales leadership close deals domestically and internationally.
• I exercised my technical skills with some of the world's leading engineers at Amazon. For services like Kinesis, I played a variety of role from simplifying architecture to writing libraries and demos on top of Kinesis to help catalyze adoption. I had the honor of helping Werner launch the service on his Keynote stage at re:invent 2013. I worked with the DynamoDB team to design, develop, and launch DynamoDB Local, allowing developers to debug and try out DynamoDB on their laptops or on-prem.

• Responsible for the team driving communication from the Deep Space Network to interplanetary missions, image processing for Mars Rovers, and large-scale distributed processing of scientific algorithms on AWS. Advised government agencies on modern computing techniques and served as a Principal Investigator on NASA grants. Developed novel techniques and software for Immersive Telemetry Visualization as well as Command & Control of autonomous assets like NASA’s ATHLETE rover and defense assets including Boeing ScanEagle. Delivered pipeline for 3D terrain map processing for ground tactical exercises and interplanetary missions.
