I am a combination of HR & Business in my career so far. By choice, moved on to lead People and HR. Tech & AI is my fascination of the last 3 years. With 18 years in core HR functions, plus a few more years running Business PNL and Consulting, I am a mix of Business + People leader. Besides extensive experience leading HR functions in India, I have also led organizational transformation projects for/with US, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, Brazil, China and the Far East. My exposure in consulting spans Education, Edtech, Fintech, Healthcare, BioTech, Telecom, BPO, GCC, StartUps, Societal Impact Orgs, Food industry, NGO’s and the Agri space. As employee I have led Business and Performance transformation through strategic Human Capital Management in Manufacturing, ITES, FinTech, Banking, General Insurance, Consulting, and NBFC Commercial / Retail Lending with Micro Finance. I have worked at a neonatal Indian Tech start-up with 70 employees taking it to 350 head-count in 2 years where I set up HR from scratch with a team of 4 to smoothly navigated the labyrinth of HR processes, policies, interventions and strategies of a 44-Billion-dollar American company with 60,000 employees. I have managed an employee base of 5000 within my region while Heading the HR Sub function of Talent Management with a team of 9 reportees. As Head of the overall HR department, I have managed a maximum headcount of 2500 employees with 1500 sub staffed and a direct team of 55 employees in HR + Administration. At the other end I have set up people practices and HR for a company of just 70 employees and run Tech hiring directly. I am a researcher, writer, editor, content creator and master facilitator having taught over 75000 adult employees + students in a little over 200 subjects.
