Prabhakar started his accidental marketing journey in 2019 while pursuing an engineering degree, and interested in coding. Being good at math, Prabhakar started a conceptual meme page known as iotahub, specifically for math enthusiasts. The page delivered complex concepts in the form of memes, making them more interesting than how they were taught in the classroom. Given that it was one of the first pages in India doing such unique stuff, iotahub gained traction quickly and reached a good number of followers in no time. It started getting sponsors from various brands and ran great campaigns for Unacademy and generated over 4Cr of revenue for the brand within a span of 1.5 years using Influencer network, earning the title of growth hacker. After successful campaigns for Unacademy and building a great network with influencers and meme influencers during his final year of engineering, Prabhakar decided to start his own agency named Groheq Media Pvt. Ltd., aiming to execute successful campaigns for other brands as well. After working with clients such as Unacademy, Upraised, TVF Timeliners, Xiaomi, MX Player, Melvano, Byju's, Cuemath, NXTWAVE, IIT Bombay, and IIT Madras, he generated an outstanding revenue of over 70 lakhs (definitely sounds better than a 7 LPA TCS job offer), Prabhakar then decided to join Unacademy while also running his agency in parallel. At Unacademy, Prabhakar executed influencer marketing campaigns and managed social channels under the Unacademy brand. He received the 'top performer of the team' award and later left the company to join Youngun, where he worked as a creative lead and did great campaigns for brands like Netflix, Swiggy, MakeMyTrip, Tinder, Ajio, Britannia, Amazon MiniTV, CRED, Zepto, and Cadbury 5 Star. Currently, Prabhakar is working at CoinSwitch & Lemonn as creative and Influencer Marketing Manager.
