• I am currently serving my second term as Chairperson of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Area, beginning February 2026.
• In my first term (April 2016 to September 2017), I led academic strategy and faculty development for the Strategy Area, with focus on teaching quality, research support, and recruitment. I worked with students and academic representatives to shape course offerings that reflected emerging industry trends and evolving learner needs. I also served as the primary liaison between the Programme Offices and Strategy faculty, keeping communication on policies and programme matters clear and constructive.
• On the people side, I managed faculty recruitment and onboarding, working alongside academic and industry experts on selection committees and partnering with HR to bring in candidates who could contribute to the institute's academic goals. I also oversaw doctoral admissions for the Strategy Area, ensuring incoming scholars were well-matched to the institute's academic standards and research priorities.

• I teach in the MBA and Doctoral programmes, working with emerging leaders and scholars on questions of management, strategy, and entrepreneurship. In the MBA, I teach The Entrepreneurial Manager and Strategy to first-year students, and offer Strategic Renewal as a second-year elective, exploring how organisations adapt in dynamic, uncertain environments. At the doctoral level, I teach foundational and advanced courses including Theory Building, Strategy: Theory and Perspectives, Strategy: Phenomena, and the Doctoral Seminar in Entrepreneurship. My goal across all these settings is the same: to build rigorous thinkers who can engage critically with the field and contribute to it.
• My research centres on strategic renewal and digital transformation. I study how organisations reinvent themselves in response to technological disruption and environmental change. I currently lead a Ministry of Education funded project (SPARC, Government of India) examining digital transformation in rural banking, a sector at a pivotal moment with real stakes for inclusive development.
• I also bring this work into practice. Through executive education and consulting, I have worked with over 2,300 professionals across industries, delivering more than 400 hours of sessions on strategic thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurial mindset. I advise organisations on strategic change, business model innovation, digital transformation, and corporate turnaround, helping leadership teams cut through complexity and find credible paths forward.

• Since 2018, I have led IIM Tiruchirappalli's efforts to secure and sustain international accreditations, anchoring the institute's commitment to global quality standards and continuous improvement.
• I directed the full AMBA accreditation cycle, from self-assessment and stakeholder consultations through documentation and peer review, culminating in initial accreditation in 2022 for the PGPM, PGPM-HR, and PGPBM programmes. I subsequently guided the institute through its 2025 reaccreditation, ensuring continued alignment with evolving international expectations.
• In parallel, I am steering IIM Trichy's pursuit of AACSB accreditation, with work centred on assurance of learning, faculty qualifications, and strategic impact. These efforts have brought the institute to the Initial Self-Evaluation Report (iSER) stage, a meaningful milestone in meeting AACSB's rigorous standards.
• Across both journeys, I have worked closely with faculty, programme offices, and senior leadership to build systems that support long-term quality assurance, institutional learning, and global credibility.

• As Chairperson of the weekend Executive MBA programme, I was responsible for academic administration and the overall learning experience for working professionals.
• On the growth side, I led outreach and admissions initiatives that contributed to cohort increases of over 65% and 166% in successive years. Operationally, I introduced refinements that improved coordination across faculty, staff, and students, resulting in more reliable scheduling and smoother programme delivery. I also introduced an elective bidding system that gave students access to a broader range of courses while keeping workloads manageable for learners and instructors alike.
• Beyond administration, I worked to build a stronger programme community, launching clubs and welfare initiatives within the executive cohort, and designing career workshops on leadership transitions, strategic planning, and long-term professional development.

• My teaching and programme work spans MBA education, executive education, entrepreneurship development, and national capacity-building initiatives.
• In the MBA and Executive MBA, I have taught core and elective modules in Competitive Strategy and Global Strategy, with an emphasis on real-world application and decision-making in fast-moving business environments. In executive education, I have designed and delivered training programmes for mid- to senior-level professionals across automotive, construction, engineering services, financial services, food and agribusiness, manufacturing, and oil and gas.
• My entrepreneurship work includes workshops on growth strategies and business model innovation for early-stage founders, focused on building strategic clarity and scalable business models. At the national level, I have contributed to academic leadership development through the Government of India's TEQIP initiative, delivering programmes on strategy, innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship for Vice Chancellors, Principals, and senior academic administrators.
• I have also served as coordinator and faculty for the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Strategic Management (PGCSM), a practice-oriented executive programme run in collaboration with TimesPro, aimed at building strategic thinking and leadership capability among senior professionals.
