I’m the founder and editor of Upstarts Media, a new tech publication focused on the startup ecosystem, from inception through IPO. I founded Upstarts in February 2025 with the belief that startups are at their best when they challenge the status quo to achieve lasting impact. Upstarts will tell those stories, and more in-depth reporting about startups, their funders and the opportunities and challenges they face, through a twice-weekly newsletter hosted on Substack. Upstarts Media will also produce a video interview series, as well as community partnerships and high-touch events (underway soon). Expect an Upstarts podcast to come later in 2025. I was previously a senior editor at Forbes, where I spent 12 years covering startups and venture capital. I edited the Midas and Cloud 100 lists, and wrote 15+ cover stories on subjects including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Canva founder Melanie Perkins, and Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport, among others. My reporting on the Silicon Valley Bank crisis and generative AI boom won a SABEW Honorable Mention for ‘Best Body of Work’ in 2023.
