About

I've been a bit of an explorer in my journey. My early stints in analytics showcased the power of data in decision making. I soon moved to product management in a 0-to-1 role at Nuclei. Building a product from scratch is a journey of going from the uncertain to the intuitive - one that I verily enjoyed. Product Management gave me the confidence to jump into entrepreneurship, filled with a strong desire to build something purposeful and ambitious. Running a business though is a whole other level on top of building product. The startup didn't go too far - businesses finally run on cash and conviction, and I ran out of both. Currently at Varaha, building a Zero-Trust system for High-Integrity Carbon Credits. At work or otherwise, I wish to assist in building better cities for the future - through intervention in culture, community and climate.

  • Wanted to work on themes I can personally support. Tried converting my ideals into a company.
  • Starting up came in phases:
  • Phase 1: Exploration.
  • Thought about the world, about what I'd like to do. Let my curiosity run wild, did a little bit of this a little bit of that. Sold merch, hosted events. Threw a 100 dots on the wall, hoping some would stick.
  • Phase 2: Problem discovery.
  • Gravitated towards the ideas of sustainability - culture, community and climate. Engaged with community organisers across BLR, played a key part in the first edition of the BLR festival. Noted partner issues with current platforms - ones that make experiences feel like commodities.
  • Phase 3: Vision Selling.
  • Ideated a community platform for culture - hoping to help the curious find the interesting. Pitched across the board - to partners, investors and team.
  • Phase 4: Execution.
  • Built a platform for BLR Hubba, parallely testing out hypothesis. Onboarded 40+ partner, 500+ events, sold 20k+ tickets.
  • Phase 5: Reality check.
  • Realised a slew of problems with our approach - product wasn't solving a pinching problem, business had low margins, very high dependence on marketing, etc. Tried to pivot but ran out of the hunger to build. Decided to wind down operations.
  • Phase 6: Course-correction.
  • Took a step back to re-align priorities. Worked with C4EC Foundation, got exposed to the systemic problems the world faces. Gravitated towards a role in climate-tech, and thankfully landed one.
