Ankit Gupta — CEO
I am a computer scientist and entrepreneur with 10 years of experience in machine learning and the life sciences. I was previously the co-founder and CTO of Reverie Labs, a small molecule therapeutics company that used machine learning to drive a pipeline of therapeutics in oncology. As a founder, I grew our company to a staff of 30, built a culture of technology and engineering that marries computer science with chemistry, and raised $31M from top investors to fund our internal therapeutics pipeline. Reverie Labs was sold to Ginkgo Bioworks in February 2024. I’ve built and managed a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and managers spanning machine learning, data science, backend and frontend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and cheminformatics. I have been hands-on in writing code (and then building teams to write code) for all of these disciplines. In an earlier life, I graduated from Harvard and studied computer science. For my thesis, I built machine learning models for DNA structure, and I was advised by Professor Alexander Rush of Harvard NLP and Dr. David Kelley of the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. I was deep (pun intended) into the deep learning world throughout my academic training, including being a head teaching fellow for multiple Harvard courses in machine learning.
