• I joined business operations to build scalable sales and marketing organizations. The challenges we worked on:
• Design, automate, monitor and measure marketing and sales workflows.
• Ensure that everything that needs to happen happens.
• Provide visibility into the business for CEO as we scale.
• Provide actionable data to everybody in the organization and educate them on how to use it.
• Forecast future state of the business. Make the forecasts happen.

• I joined DataRobot as a front-end engineer. Soon enough I formally became a Director of Engineering in Ukraine. During almost 2 years in R&D I have:
• Created a system for testing ML algorithms at scale.
• Built Data Intake team. Refactored the data ingestion part of the application. It later enabled us to scale to potentially unlimited dataset sizes (I wasn't on the team by then).
• Helped build and run engineering organization as we scale.
• Created Developer Experience team and introduced tools that help developers do their job better.
• Formalized feature delivery process.
• Formalized QA sign offs.
• Of course, I did none of this alone.

• My responsibilities:
• Organize and improve development process.
• Develop stuff.
• Stuzo is a company that has 2 parts:
• First one develops websites for big companies like P&G, CBS, MasterCard, etc. The second part creates http://meg.com - a startup that makes mobile marketing simple for small businesses.
• I was hired to improve development process in the first part and to help with the development of the second part.
• Some things I have accomplished:
• Introduced continuous integration and automation tools to the development process. Jenkins, grunt, yeoman, etc.
• Organized switching meg.com architecture to microservices (docker-based).
• Introduced automated testing for the frontend.
• Refactored a lot of stuff.

• Guidestock was a marketplace for audio guides for tourists. I was responsible for the technical side of the company. Eventually, the startup did not work out.

• TvPort was a service that added pseudo-realtime commenting to videos. It's hard to explain - you would have to see it. I was responsible for the technical part of the company. The product was pretty cool, but we did not find the product/market fit. Something similar was later implemented by Twitch and other video apps.

• Yandex is "Russian Google". The company is great, but I ended up in a wrong place at a wrong time. Frustrated by the teams' inability to accomplish anything and my inability to change the state of things, I left in less than 6 months.

• Kinobaza.tv was a movie recommendation system. It allowed you to watch movies you like online or download from torrent trackers. Yeah, quite pirate-y. It was ex-soviet union and legal movies were not available, so who cares.
• The service was relatively successful and our team was acquihired by Yandex.
