At 14, I started a tech blog and made $500 from ads — my first taste of income. That's when I knew I was hooked. Instead of focusing on grades, I was all in on the internet, building and selling things. At age 16, I was running a server infrastructure business specializing in DDoS security. Made ~$110K selling hard-metal servers to clients in the U.S. Being from Gujarat where everyone is business savvy, it felt right. While I was building this dhandha, an online application took me to IIM-A's incubation centre. People exposed me to the startup lingo, Venture Capital, PMF, TAM, Cash Burn - the usual stuff. Serendipity got me to visit the Silicon Valley on back of a couple of fellowships. After coming back to India, I was onto my next big thing: a proximity-payments solution for physical stores and outlets. Hustled through some doors, raised some money & onboarded 50+ customers. 2020 was a crossroads year. COVID-19 made my startup redundant. I was a builder and seller, with no pedigree education, internships, or corporate stints. I fortunately landed a job with Invest India & grew out from there. Over the last three years, I've donned the hat of a Product Manager at startups like 100ms & Open, learning a thing or two about building and scaling infra products. It's 2024, I have ventured out again, building Flent - India's new standard of renting. Through all life's twists and turns, I've clung to one belief: Chase your intellectual curiosity, and everything will eventually fall into place :)
