General leader and fixer for wherever Johnson Controls needed one, overseeing over 65 million dollars a year of revenue, 300+ construction projects operating in parallel, and three distinct businesses representing over two thirds of the operating revenue for Philadelphia and HVAC.

• Manages and leads the efforts of the Service truck based business by driving profitable growth through effective management of assigned assets (people, financial and material). Manages assigned assets in a manner that meets or exceeds profitability goals. Working closely with the General Manager, develops strategic operating plans for the assigned Service Business that aligns with Service Sales Agreements goals and visions. This includes participating on strategic Account Plans, annual financial and operating plans, revenue and margin forecasts.

• Being a foreman at Johnson Controls was an incredibly engaging and rewarding experience. On any given day I would estimating, selling, supervising, scheduling, innovating and implementing a vast array of projects, solutions, and company missions. One day I might be at the negotiating table for a major project or contract, the next day I might be exploring expansion opportunities for our existing mechanical force or product lines. When all else failed, I was still the guy who would go out and solves complex problems with constantly evolving machines; and I found it all incredibly and deeply gratifying.

• In this role I scheduled, coordinated, hosted, taught, and tracked accreditation requirements for all of our signatory contractor training programs and classes. This role gave me an incredible chance to learn the operations and processes that allowed a training center like ours to operate outside of the pure classroom environment. After a little over half a decade of service, I felt it was time to give this awesome opportunity back to the hall so a new and hungry tradesperson could get a chance to be more involved in our amazing training center. I am incredibly grateful for all of the opportunities that Local Union 420 has provided me, and I remain eternally in their debt and service.

• Previously worked with the Steamfitters Local Union 420 training department in the area of apprenticeship training and development. My incredibly rewarding work with this department involved drafting classes on advanced equipment service, and offering a variety of support services to students progressing through the Steamfitters Local Union 420 apprenticeship. I was incredibly humbled by the opportunity to be of service to this great department, and to have even a small role in shaping the minds of the young mechanics who serve all of the major contractors within our industry.

• In my previous role with E.B. O’Reilly; I oversaw the training, development, and retention of our growing apprenticeship workforce. Within this role, I was also getting a lot of great opportunities to innovate and execute special projects with our young pool of workers. I'll never forget my time with E.B. O'Reilly, or the lessons I've learned there; and will always be grateful for the many opportunities they afforded me.

• When I was fairly young, I began work with my mother's accounting business. Primarily, this work consisted of data entry, storage, cataloging, tax preparation, and general book keeping; but I got a lot of great exposure to general accounting practices and business fundamentals. The job was highly clerical, but I took great pride in learning the trade and supporting a family business.

• This was my first job. The company was owned and operated by a wonderful married couple in Philadelphia, and the type of work I did varied on a regular basis. One moment I would be preparing an auditorium for the night's performance, and the next I would be attempting to herd a stampede of face painted eight year olds towards the pizza that had just arrived. It was a terrific delight to work with that company and its owners, and ( to this day ) I continue to count the valuable lessons that I learned in my time there.
