About

I work at the intersection of parking, urban mobility, and sustainable infrastructure. Over my career, I have focused on building frameworks, policies, and industry practices that improve how cities manage parking and how parking systems support broader mobility goals. My work spans advisory, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and industry ecosystem building, with a consistent focus on improving efficiency, transparency, and user outcomes in the parking domain. As Founder of WAFOUNDATION and Chairman of the Parking Policy Framework at the ITS India Forum, I contribute to the development of strategies that modernize parking operations and integrate technology, data, and smart-city methodologies. I collaborate with government agencies, private operators, solution providers, and mobility innovators to shape standards and advance conversations around next-generation parking systems. In recent years, I have expanded my focus to sustainability in the parking industry. My current work explores how parking infrastructure can reduce congestion, enable cleaner mobility, support EV adoption, and contribute to more climate-resilient urban systems. I am also building research and partnerships that link parking management with sustainability indicators, environmental performance, and long-term climate considerations. I am committed to enabling a future where parking is not a legacy urban problem but a strategic asset that supports sustainable mobility, efficient land use, and better urban experiences. I welcome collaboration with organizations and individuals working on parking innovation, urban sustainability, and emerging climate-related initiatives in the mobility sector.

Act of random kindness social welfare society

Founder & Trustee

Dec 2005Dec 2019 · 14 yrs · India

  • Act of Random Kindness (ARK) Social Welfare Society was founded in 2015 by a group of like-minded professionals with a singular vision: to cultivate the habit of random kindness, especially among young minds. The organization is led by Maj Gen Rajiv Sachdev, whose leadership and commitment to social transformation continue to guide ARK’s mission.
  • In 2016, following extensive discussions with friends and family, ARK launched Project ASHA to support widows of farmers in drought-affected regions of Maharashtra. Within just one year, five tailoring centers were established, enabling sustainable livelihoods and financial independence. ARK has since been actively involved in several farmer-centric initiatives, with a strong focus on the Vidarbha region.
  • Building on a deep understanding of grassroots social challenges, ARK introduced four flagship programs: iWoman Global Awards (iWGA), Global Innovators & Entrepreneurs Network (GIENET), Sapiens, and the Young World Leader (YWL) Program. Through these platforms, ARK promotes impactful causes such as Care for Farmers, ASHA, and Cinnamon, fostering leadership, innovation, and social responsibility.
  • During its formative and challenging years, ARK was driven by passion, perseverance, and unwavering belief. The organization stands firm in its conviction that meaningful change begins with individuals—and when many small acts unite, they create lasting impact. ARK’s guiding philosophy is simple yet powerful:
  • “What we can do, we must do.”
  • By encouraging everyone to perform at least one random act of kindness each day, ARK continues to inspire collective action toward a better, more compassionate future.
