• Act of Random Kindness (ARK) Social Welfare Society was founded in 2015 by a group of like-minded professionals with a singular vision: to cultivate the habit of random kindness, especially among young minds. The organization is led by Maj Gen Rajiv Sachdev, whose leadership and commitment to social transformation continue to guide ARK’s mission.
• In 2016, following extensive discussions with friends and family, ARK launched Project ASHA to support widows of farmers in drought-affected regions of Maharashtra. Within just one year, five tailoring centers were established, enabling sustainable livelihoods and financial independence. ARK has since been actively involved in several farmer-centric initiatives, with a strong focus on the Vidarbha region.
• Building on a deep understanding of grassroots social challenges, ARK introduced four flagship programs: iWoman Global Awards (iWGA), Global Innovators & Entrepreneurs Network (GIENET), Sapiens, and the Young World Leader (YWL) Program. Through these platforms, ARK promotes impactful causes such as Care for Farmers, ASHA, and Cinnamon, fostering leadership, innovation, and social responsibility.
• During its formative and challenging years, ARK was driven by passion, perseverance, and unwavering belief. The organization stands firm in its conviction that meaningful change begins with individuals—and when many small acts unite, they create lasting impact.
