I've been part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police since 2016. From serving to Public Relations Officer (PRO) to CT practitioner, I have had the opportunity of working both on field & official assignments over the years. My areas of interest are: policing, human rights, women & children rights, CT and CVE. I occasionally write Op-Eds for various English-language publications including The News & Daily Times.

Extremism is on the rise in Pakistan; tolerance has become a rare commodity. Beyond my work as a police officer, I wished to do something impactful in promoting tolerance and countering extremism in my community. I co-founded Bright Minds, a non-profit forum, with the key pillars: Tolerance, Diversity and Inclusivity. Initially, it had only three members but in around six months; it has grown into a network of 90+ young members. These youngsters spread the world of Tolerance in their communities. On every alternate weekend, LET'S TALK session is organized with a view to debating and explaining a selected topic of public interest.
