  • I returned to Shopify because of their shift to remote working (Digital by Design). I joined my old team on Growth, helping merchants get their stores set up more efficiently, and better understand the value of Shopify for them as emerging merchants.
  • I spent this time moving around a few 0 → 1 teams. We were actively looking for new opportunities to help merchants get set up on, and understand Shopify. I would explore new areas and validate whether we should invest further teams/resources into it. One of the big components we built during this time and took from ideation → market was a persistent guide that followed merchants as they onboarded to the tool, and helped them better understand what to do, how to do it well, and what to do next.
