During my 8-month tenure at Infosys, I was part of a rigorous training program where I gained practical exposure to business analysis through multiple real-world simulation projects. I worked closely with internal Business Analyst teams to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and define KPIs based on mock datasets in various domains, including HR, education, and retail sales.
My key responsibility was to transform business needs into meaningful dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau. I created interactive visualizations that offered clear, self-service insights to stakeholders. These dashboards were built with filters, slicers, and calculated measures, and reflected core concepts like fund allocation, employee trends, and sales distribution.
In addition to visualization, I wrote and optimized SQL queries to clean, join, and analyze data. These queries significantly reduced reporting turnaround time by 45%, improving the data readiness pipeline for analytics. I also practiced data cleaning and transformation using Excel and Power Query, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every report.
