My Husband died unexpectedly of a brain tumour in 2007 and I was pregnant with our Daughter. My father became unwell when I was 4, and we subsequently had our beautiful house repossessed and I grew up on a council estate. I have seen both luxury and poverty. My Father died when I was 17 and my Mother when I was 23. They were 55 and 60 years old. Flourishing at school in Art & English, I studied Business at University and subsequently Marketing with the Chartered Institute. After 10 years, I moved over to Purchasing and became a Buyer. A role I loved. Sick of sub-par management and struggling to make ends meat paying nursery fees, as a single Mum I needed to find a way to generate flexibility and also income. I bought my first buy to let property in 2010. I only intended to purchase one property as a pension. Realising that Property development could provide a route to financial security, I left my day job in 2016 and went at it full time. Fast forward to 2024 and I now own several businesses centred around Property. I have a multi million personal portfolio and I am now on the way to scaling each business to 8 figure turnovers. I wanted my daughter to have the opportunities that I missed out on. My life was harsh and sad in episodes. It took me 44 years to find my self esteem and a single year after that to realise the compounding effects of all my efforts were paying off big time. I am dedicated to the study of Psychology. My skills and love are people and efficiency. 2022 was the happiest year of my life. I will always celebrate it and the connections I made when I first joined instagram. 2024 has been wild in Business. I have experienced betrayal from close quarters. People change under pressure and where money is involved. Some remain the same. They are the keepers. My aim is to inspire my daughter and to empower as many people as possible to find their freedom via entrepreneurship. I am particularly passionate about bringing confidence to Women in the Property and Construction Industry. Some Linkedin members have sadly demonstrated to me that we are not seen as equal. I hope to change that. I love to travel & I adore Photography. What a gift to capture moments in time and create permanence to your own perspective. Everything I do now is a win, an extra.
