• My sedulity in the Cell as an Associate and my knack for leadership was rewarded when I was chosen as the Public relations head of the Cell for the year ‘19-20, by the outgoing core committee.
• As the PR head of the Cell, I led 100+ member 3-tiered team segregated into 6 departments, trying to improve the startup ecosystem of the city by giving entrepreneurs a platform to connect with mentors, investors, and incubators. I worked towards creating a tangible impact on the college and beyond, and our Cell organised two new events, one of which was the first internship exposition in the college’s 160-year history.
• I maintained a very people-centric style of leadership throughout the year, wherein I was always approachable and friendly but also knew when to assert myself enough to get the job done. Even under the most stressful circumstances, I maintained composure and was able to make quick decisions to solve problems.
• Key Highlights
• 1. We got a startup funded- Sattuz in the inaugural edition of Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp
• 2. Raised a sponsorship of up to 1.17 million rupees
• 3. Founding member of Initium- an Internship Expo where we provided internship to over 250 Students
• 4. Coordinated with various mentors, investors and incubators in Eastern India
• 5. Only Student member selected to represent EDC at IIM Calcutta Innovation Park EDCN initiative
• 6. Conducted various workshops around the year which have been cumulatively attended by over 10K students during my stint
• 7. Founder and event in-charge of Elevator: The Idea Expo, a 2-day B-Plan Competition, wherein ideas initiated by school and college-going students are given a platform to be sculpted info potential start-ups.
• 8. Founder and event in-charge of Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp: The Startup Expo, a 3-day start-up mentorship and networking camp, wherein established start-ups participate to compete for seed-funding by esteemed investors or the Indian start-up ecosystem.
