Saurabh S. ā Co-Founder
For years, I was brilliant at solving equations but the real world had other plans. Hi, I'm Saurabh š I got into IIT and Stanford because I could solve complex math problems. But those same skills that opened doors? They almost weren't enough for what came next. Fresh out of Stanford with my MS in Sustainable Design and Construction, I dove into the clean energy revolution in 2008. I designed and commissioned large-scale solar power plants at Cupertino Electric. I understood the technical details inside out. I got an opportunity to work at Tesla on aggregating output from distributed powerwalls for grid services. For over a decade, I stayed in my engineering lane, perfecting battery simulations, optimizing solar layouts, and solving complex energy problems. Then everything shifted. At Farasis Energy, they moved me from Staff Simulation Engineer to Technical Sales. Suddenly, my ability to understand complex battery systems AND communicate them clearly became my superpower. Customers didn't just want batteries - they wanted someone who could solve their energy challenges. That's when it clicked: I'm not just an engineer. I'm an energy problem solver. Today, I'm helping non-US manufacturers establish their presence in the American market, leveraging 16+ years of experience in battery storage and solar from my early days at GreenVolts and Zep Solar to my work at Tesla and Farasis Energy. The common thread throughout my career: understand the tech deeply, understand customers even deeper, and build solutions that move the needle. After years in deep technical roles, Iām now applying that experience to share insights from the energy transition and help solve the problems that will define the next decade. When I'm not working: You'll find me skiing in Whistler or Utah, planning epic family trips (spending two months in India this summer!), or hosting dinner parties in Silicon Valley with my wife who works at Google.
