Our research focuses on post-training, encoder architectures, and the infrastructure layer that will power the next generation of agentic AI. Pioneer, is the first to make the full SLM fine-tuning lifecycle fully agentic, from synthetic data generation through training, evaluation, deployment, and continuous autonomous improvement on live inference data. We think that's a meaningful shift in who gets to build with specialized models and what becomes possible when fine-tuning is no longer a bottleneck. I write and think about SLMs, small encoders, generative models, post-training methods and optimizations, agentic system design, and the practical tradeoffs of deploying small models at scale.
