About

Nick is a recognized authority in API security, API development, and the rapidly evolving space of agentic AI. With over 25 years of experience spanning application development, testing, and cybersecurity, he has helped lead some of the largest digital transformation and API-driven innovation initiatives across North America. Nick has spoken at top industry events including Black Hat, RSA Conference, AWS re:Inforce, SecureWorld, fal.con, and API World, and his insights regularly appear in leading publications such as Dark Reading, SC Magazine, Security Boulevard, and Infosecurity Magazine. As Vice President of Product Strategy at Salt Security, Nick helps organizations embrace API-centric architectures and foster agentic success, safely and securely. He works closely with global enterprises to navigate the intersection of APIs, AI, and cybersecurity, offering strategic guidance on how to reduce risk, ensure compliance, and build resilience in an increasingly API-dependent world. Prior to joining Salt, Nick was an early contributor to the success of Kong, the world's most widely used API management platform. Prior to Kong, Nick held various roles at early-stage security companies such as MobileIron (Mobile Device, Data, and Application Security - IPO 2014) and Vontu (Data Loss Prevention - acquired by Symantec) and previously founded his own boutique Internet software development company. Nick holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. When not knee deep in API's, code, microservices, containers, and other tech, you can find him up to his knees in snow, skiing throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Nick and his family reside in the Boston / New England area.
