• Initially started with investigating various OpenStack configurations that best suited Casa Systems' NFV requirements. This involved installation, configuration and performance testing of standard and commercial OpenStack distributions. Developed OpenStack compatible image building tools and orchestration framework for virtual Converged Cable Access Platform (vCCAP) network function and integrated the cloud image building tool into automated Jenkins build. Co-administering virtualization development infrastructure and bring people up to speed.
• Gained familiarity with Casa's C100G which is the ATCA based CCAP network function and remote PHY device which is a part of CableLabs' Modular Headend Architecture.
• Working in a small team to port the CCAP network function on x86 architecture. Responsibilities range from miscellaneous bug fixes to ensuring feature parity and adding new features, and participate in design discussions.
• Contributed in a range of areas on the control plane side – Process bring up, Management plane, ARP and DHCP proxy feature, Routing feature parity.
• Contributed in the following areas on the data path side – Extending DPDK based forwarding engine, Data plane scale up, support high speed NICs.
• Single handedly demonstrated a proof of concept showing vCCAP application running inside Docker containers. Helped building kubernetes cluster for development.
• Additional duties include supporting vCCAP demos in CableLabs and other conferences.

• Initially worked in 5060 MGC-8 cloud architecture team. My duties mainly included prototyping in C and writing shell scripts to meet the design specifications along with few bug fixes. I got familiar with OpenStack clients such as Heat and Horizon for orchestration and testing purposes.
• As a part of four member team, worked on Arduino during summer internship robotics competition; our team was second runner-up.
• Later, I was a member of IMS Common Architecture and Design team, which works for defining common framework for developing/managing Alcatel-Lucent’s IMS network elements in cloud environment. I played a key role in setting-up together JIRA, GitLab, Jenkins and Nexus tools to establish CI/CD workflow for the projects undertaken by the team and even familiarized myself with Docker containers during this task.
