I am Samarjeet - an education entrepreneur and materials engineer with an M.Tech (Materials Engineering) from IISc Bangalore and a B.Tech (Metallurgical Engineering) from NIAMT. I founded TestUrSelf, an exam-focused learning platform developed by IISc and IIT alumni to help GATE aspirants achieve top performance. Since 2019, TestUrSelf has produced top rankers - including AIR-1 - through rigorous content, targeted practice, and data-driven feedback. Beyond product work, I serve on the Board of Mission Kartavya Foundation, where we provide free, high-quality education to underprivileged students. I am also the author of a comprehensive Metallurgical Engineering book tailored for GATE preparation. My core strengths are curriculum design, educational product development, and metallurgy research and teaching.   • Kartavya is an NGO that aims for a holistic approach to the education of the underprivileged. For students who don't have access to quality education, we provide
  • a platform where they can learn and grow -educationally and socially.
  • Kartavya was started at NIAMT(formerly NIFFT) to fill in the need for a support to the education setup in the nearby locality at Hatia. Our responsibilities were confined to teaching in nearby areas and to support the children in the process of education.
  • However, when it was felt that we need to take on greater responsibilities, we started our first center at Hatia in 2007 channelizing all our small efforts into an organised structure.
  • Apart from our flagship program called "Schooling Childhood" where we arrange for sponsorship and get proactive students admitted to a school nearby their home; we have also forayed into many other avenues affecting the overall development of the child. Our activities included conducting health camps, social awareness camps etc. for children and their parents.
  • Also, we started a Women Empowerment program for the women of the locality wherein we help them find funds and get them the resources for making candles and diyas during Diwali. Also, we help them market these products effectively.
  • The Ranchi chapter of Kartavya is managed by the undergraduate students of NIAMT, which is located at Hatia.
  • The Kartavya centre-1 is located at Hatia.
  • The Kartavya centre-2 is located at Tupudana which is around 5km from Hatia.
