  • IO Accelerator for 3PAR File appliance
  • This involved the design and implementation of a log structured write acceleration layer to aggregate multiple small writes into larger writes to improve throughput for small writes. An adaptive destage mechanism asynchronously tiered the log data into the backing file system. My responsibilities include:
  • Design and implement the data path changes in the filesystem
  • Performance tuning of the logging and destage mechanism – analyze performance characteristics (throughput, latency) across different workloads and file sharing protocols.
  • Make provisions for data dedupe and compression in the accelerator to improve storage efficiency.
  • Storage for Containers: Software Defined IO Enhancer
  • This project was to demonstrated a fully-software defined I/O acceleration layer for improved performance and enable seamless migration of containers across nodes. Implemented am on-demand cache warmup that ensures fast and seamless access to storage for a migrated container without impacting other containers co-located on the source and target nodes.
  • Improving Filesystem Snapshot Accessibility in NFS shares
  • The HPE 3PAR FilePersona supported a mechanism which allowed snapshots to be accessed from a designated snapshot root. The enhancement involved supporting the snapshot access from any arbitrary directory and expose them as a virtual directory within an NFS share. This allows FS users to access snapshot from their own directory layout, without needing any Administrator intervention.
  • HPE Techfluence Program
  • Was part of a one year mentorship program that involved application of Design Thinking Methodology to solve very high level business problems. Worked on a group project and proposed one technical Solution to solve problems identified in the HCI at Edge and Hybrid Cloud areas.
