• I lead the Data Governance Platform engineering team at Microsoft that develops Microsoft Purview. My team is also responsible for developing the data infrastructure that ensures privacy and compliance needs (GDPR/CCPA etc) of Microsoft's first-party exabyte-scale data platform.
• Incubated and delivered Microsoft Purview service that is used by large enterprises to manage and govern their increasingly diverse and hybrid data estates that span on-prem and public cloud data assets (Azure, AWS and GCP).
• Built a strong geo-distributed engineering organization, growing from ~100 to 300+ developers and recruited/mentored a very strong cadre of engineering leaders.
• Acquired and integrated BlueTalon, an attribute based access control (ABAC) product, into Microsoft Purview to enable a unified policy based data use governance.

• I led the Azure Information Management team and guided Azure Data Factory's transformation from a moribund product into a world class ELT/ETL service. It resulted in Microsoft being named one of the leaders in Gartner Magic Quadrant for DI tools.
• Pivoted the product direction and modernized every aspect of product architecture and user experience and delivered a hyper-scale integration service that has seen rapid customer adoption with triple digit growth in orchestration and data volumes over multiple years.
• Changed the team culture to become customer focused with dramatic improvements in service reliability and customer satisfaction .
• Successfully managed and collaborated across several Geo-distributed teams to augment capacity, accelerate execution and deliver large scale projects that are globally deployed.
