Analysis of Aerodynamics of a Badminton Shuttlecock
A computational study involving fluid only interaction was conducted to understand the flow past a synthetic shuttlecock used in the game of badminton.
ANSYS Floant module was used to setup and run calculations.
The base geometry for the study , was similar to that of the Mavis-2000 model of the shuttlecock from Yonex.
The main objectives of the study was to understand the flow structures and the role of rotation in the aerodynamics of the shuttle.
