• Preparation of next generation infotainment chip with total quality and less time were the challenges before our team. On the top of this it is ROM code, this will even make the challenge tougher. Pre-silicon verification plays a very critical role, as any issue that gets undetected during pre-silicon verification pose lot of overhead in costs and efforts. Being a V & V lead, the test strategies, test scenario definitions, test environment decisions, test execution strategy for releases, bringing in automation all these tasks are taken care meticulously. This helped my team to deliver all ROM release on time. Post Silicon bring up was very smooth. While these challenges had become a norm, I personally raised the bar by bringing in latest automation methodologies and tools into the team by learning from other teams and fine tuning to our teams needs. Introduced Jenkins, LabVIEW, python automation scripts, internal test utilities from other teams etc. These improvements helped in taking care of overall test reporting, traceability, test environment automation, test execution and faster time to release. This helped the team to leave the traditional outdated tools and move to latest test methodologies making us inline with organizational goal of stronger and smarter V&V to get best quality deliverable.

• Responsible for validation and verification activities for ROM audio software in infotainment chips that will be used in automotive
• Build validation test strategy to provide greater test coverage for the modules that were developed
• To develop and write unit tests/module tests, integration tests and subsystem tests based on requirements
• Writing test scripts using different languages like python, LabVIEW or C to validate the modules
• To perform white box and black box testing of various modules, MISRA and Coverity checks on test code
• Traceability between Requirements and test specifications to ensure full coverage of requirements

• To enable test execution strategy on different test benches leveraging the best usage of HW and SW resources

• A mobile phone based out of Linux based Operating system called Tizen is the target product planned to be launched. Our team is responsible for providing multimedia framework solutions to the product. I along with my team of engineers worked on enabling and building multimedia pipelines in GStreamer. The use cases covered are camera applications using V4L2 framework, Audio recording, playback solutions using Pulse Audio and ALSA drivers, WIFI display solutions, audio post processing solutions, message notification sounds, ring tone handling solutions using Pulse Audio & ALSA and OpenMax components for encoders and decoders. I ensured that each deliverable is adhering to expected coding standards by performing reviews and thoroughly unit and integration tested. I involved in bug triage and prioritization of issues. Interacting with all the stake holders regularly with status reports and meetings. Along with working on in house Exynos chipset, I had also taken ownership of driving base camps in vendor sites to bring up multimedia stack on MSM8974, MSM 8x30 and MSM 7x27A chipsets. I am involved in the complete end to end product life cycle of Multimedia solutions from bring up to final productization. In my position as a multimedia manager, stakeholder management with Vendors, Clients, Management, cross-teams and own team members had been a norm of day. Handling of once issues posed a big challenge as reproducibility of such issues was real challenge, I closely worked and brainstormed on such issues with my team by understanding the logs presented and performing code walk throughs to crack the cause of once issues.
