Jaya Panvalkar — Co-Founder
Jaya Panvalkar is a globally respected technologist, innovator, and national leader in High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence, and Semiconductor Systems, with a legacy spanning more than four decades. Her work bridges deep engineering, national capacity building, and global technology leadership. A United Nations Fellow, she holds advanced degrees from the College of Engineering Pune, Colorado State University, ISB Hyderabad, and an Executive Management Program from Stanford University. Her early career at the Central Water and Power Research Station established her as a pioneer—leading India’s first import-substitution Random Sea Wave Generation System, developing earthquake simulation technologies, and helping implement some of India’s earliest supercomputers. In the corporate world, she served as CTO and Board Director of Irish multinational PACE Soft Silicon, driving breakthrough multimedia and semiconductor solutions for global brands including HP, Motorola, Palm, Asus, and Samsung. She later led the company’s acquisition by NVIDIA, founded the NVIDIA Pune Design Center, and built it into the company’s largest engineering hub outside the U.S., catalyzing over 100 patentable innovations and establishing 85+ NVIDIA academic labs across India. At the national level, Jaya serves on the Technical Advisory Board and chairs the HRD Core Expert Group of the National Supercomputing Mission, shaping India’s HPC and AI ecosystem. Under her leadership, over 25,000 scientists, engineers, and researchers have been trained, and nine national nodal centers have been established across premier institutes. A former Chairman of the Board of Governors of SVNIT, appointed by the President of India, she continues to advise leading corporates, startups, and global education initiatives, including N4L (Numeracy for Life). Jaya is an acclaimed speaker known for her ability to simplify complex technologies and inspire diverse audiences—from international conferences such as Accelerating Biology to nationwide programs for teachers and young innovators. Her talks span AI & HPC trends, semiconductor innovation, national digital capability, engineering ingenuity, and technology for societal impact. Her mission today is simple yet powerful: to give back—by empowering the next generation of India’s technology leaders.
