Matei Zaharia — CTO
I'm CTO at Databricks and an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Berkeley. I started the Apache Spark computing engine during my PhD, and helped develop other widely used open source data and AI software, such as MLflow, Delta Lake, DBRX, Dolly, DSPy, MegaBlocks and ColBERT. At Berkeley, my current research covers natural language processing, databases and security, including how to build highly reliable applications with LLMs. At Databricks, I work on all areas of our product.
