• I worked under project Ekalavya, which is an Open Source Knowledge Initiative under the guidance of Professor D. B. Phatak that propagates the National Mission on Education through ICT, where I revamped a remote-triggered virtual laboratory for Single Board Heater System. It is used in Instrumentation and Control Systems, where the experiment is conducted remotely, and it’s output is communicated back to the student over the Internet. It overcomes the hindrances posed forth by both a physical laboratory, and a pure simulation, which can, at best, only act as a model. I developed the server, the website, and the client interface for the virtual lab as well as built a new architecture that allows load-sharing and scalability for the connected experimental set-ups. The recent architecture implemented a master-slave system with a centralized database to avoid data inconsistencies.
