• Being a member of Rewards team in Amazon Pay, I own the responsibility of discovery of rewards(Cashbacks, Coupons, ScratchCards) pre eligible transactions, evaluation and issuance of rewards post the transactions on Amazon Pay categories(p2p transfer, A.in purchase, bill payments etc).
• I specifically have worked on:
• 1) building the capability to issue ScratchCards(developing scratchcards) on top of cashback, coupon benefits. This includes building capability in our APIs for returning scratchcard as a reward for eligible transactions during discovery calls, evaluation calls and also making calls to our dependant services for the reward issuance. Post customer scratching the card, making sure the underlying reward gets issued with push, email notifications etc.
• 2) building the capability to support more number of coupon promotions (now system supports 3X coupon promotions.
• 3) displaying rewards widget (containing info of cashback, coupons, scratch card issued on the txn ) for rewards getting issued on retail transactions on Amazon.in
• 4) identifying and fixing bugs in system (apprx more than 20 bugs identified and resolved).
• 5) scaling service to support high traffic during events.
• 6) mentoring new joinees and participating in hiring by taking SDE interviews.

• NetApp Faculty Fellowship project : Resource Provisioning for Edge Computing
• Discovering new things is always exciting and learning.
• Currently working to find whether we can perform real time analytics task ( like- analysis on videos streaming from traffic camera ) on the edge network instead of offloading directly to cloud.
• So, for that task trying to develop a benchmark which tells optimal number of capable edge nodes (currently present in network) which can perform a computation intensive task.
