  • Market Mix modeling for a leading US based Pharmacy retailer
  • I contributed on building a market mix model for one of the leading pharmacy retailer in the US. With the help of this model we were able to compute marketing contribution from different marketing vehicles used. It also measured vehicle effectiveness (in dollars) for each product category highlighting the best performing marketing vehicles .The model also helped forecast sales for next 6 months. It could also measure the dollar effectiveness of various marketing campaigns that run all round the year. It helped the marketing division of client answer questions like, did the specific strategy and tactics (Messaging Vehicle mix, Target & Spend levels) of the initiative, cause the intended actions, what was the ROI of different marketing campaigns.
  • Spend Optimization to achieve maximum ROI
  • The objective of this project was to optimize spend on various marketing channels, to achieve maximum returns. Using the market mix model, spends on channels were varied across all the vehicles and product categories, keeping in mind the business constraints to achieve maximum sales and ROI. This project helped the client achieve the same amount of sales with a reduced marketing spend by 2 million dollars every month.
  • Sales forecasting
  • This project was done for a major telecom, cable and internet service provider in US. The objective of this project was to develop a model equation for sales, which helped in identifying key factors driving sales within different regions of the US and forecast Sales for next 6 months. The accuracy of prediction of these models was 98% and the technique used was Fixed Effect regression modeling.
