• Sporttotal.tv is a club level sports live streaming website. The website had major problems in handling load during popular live matches.
• Improved performance of the website from up to 4-5 hours of downtime during popular live matches to perfectly smooth operation during even a major league without even any perceptible slowdown.
• Created an extensive set of load testing and system health monitoring tools for overseeing problems and scaling up infrastructure on demand.
• The database was custom built by a Netherlands company which was no longer available for support. Created many patches for this realtime acyclic database based on load testing results to improve bottlenecks.
• Implemented multiple levels of caching and also a switchable backup site with only the most important matches for the day to ensure uptime under all scenarios.
• Integrated frontend video player for the new version of the website with inlay ads from Google ad platform inside video player with various settings to control position and duration of display, maintaining size and position with resizing of the player and full screen mode.
