• Launched Latest Cluster to help users find "latest" results about newsy queries. Improved freshness by +xx%; helps users find fresh & relevant results when fresh results really matter.
• Launched live images gallery for high interest celebrity events like Oscars, Met Gala. Improved user engagement on product by +XX%. This was a zero-to-one program started by me, executed to launch successfully under extremely tight deadlines, and scaled it from MVP to a mature product.
• Launched Dark Mode for Image Search.
• Developer facing products:
• Led the massive overhaul of Image Search SEO Guidelines.
• Led the creation of a dedicated referral URL for Image Search, enabling analytical tools like Google Analytics to track Image Search as a separate search engine and source of traffic to websites.
• Launched IPTC metadata for Images in Image Search to enable image creators to enforce copyright compliance.

• Moved back as an acquisition into Google.
• Over the span of 4 years, I worked on Google Search and Google Assistant, focused on enabling "actions" on Google (ex: book a movie ticket, salon appointment).
• I saw first hand and contributed to the evolution of Actions-on-Google platform, which is the core developer platform for Google Assistant. Some career highlights:
• TL for Storage systems powering commercial transactions on Google. Launched a developer API which was highlighted in Google I/O as well.
• My team created Microforms, which later became "Reserve with Google", helping users to engage with local businesses.

• What is Blitz? Have you ever had questions for which you would ask a human rather than just relying on Google ? We did too, for needs like a tricky tax situation, or a weird noise from the car. Blitz was designed to solve these user needs by connecting you to professionals.
• I started Blitz, along with Sajid Shariff, and bootstrapped the startup for more than a year. During this time we hired 2 people on the team, launched the app on the iOS App Store. We failed to get traction on the supply side (professionals) and had to eventually shut down.

• 1st engineer (founding engineer) of the team. Wrote 50% of the backend systems from web crawlers, to indexing and ranking systems.
• The rockstar engineering team behind Relcy was acquihired by Google in 2014.
• What is Relcy?
• Relcy was a mobile first search engine, backed by Sequoia and Khosla ventures - imagine it as "better Spotlight" for searching through your apps. Search for [batman movies] and Relcy would get you the 10 or so batman movies rather than the millions of blue links. Further, Relcy would deeplink you to the app on your phone where you can watch (take action) the movie. Relcy developed this experience for movies, music, people and products.
