About

Picture a child in rural - anywhere. She can’t see the blackboard, not because she needs glasses—though she does—but because the nearest eye exam is 100 miles away, down a road no one bothers to pave. Now imagine a sliver of Artificial Intelligence doing what a hundred doctors can’t: showing up in the village, diagnosing her eyes and sending her home with a prescription. That’s not science fiction; that’s today. But only if we get it right. I work at the intersection of AI, EyeCare, and Life Sciences, focused on the places where solutions are needed most and resources are in shortest supply. My playground is what economists call the Global South and what I call the Frontlines of Innovation. The tools? A new class of General Purpose Technologies—think AI, Robotics, Generative Biology, and Advanced Sensors—that are as commercially viable as they are transformative. I’ve spent years driving co-innovation at LVPEI, helping bridge the gap between what’s possible in a lab and what’s lifesaving in the real world. Along the way, I’ve learned this: Technology doesn’t change lives until someone figures out how to scale it. That’s where I come in. What I Do: Advise healthcare and life sciences leaders on deploying AI-driven solutions where they matter most. Write about the ideas, trends and breakthroughs shaping the future in “Action is the Antidote”. Speak to audiences who want more than buzzwords—they want to know how AI and Generative Biology can reshape industries and lives. If you’re building something that could transform healthcare or life sciences, especially in places where the challenges are greatest, I’d love to hear about it. Because the future isn’t going to build itself.
