For up-to-date information, please visit my website: https:/www.prasoonpatidar.com I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Societal Computing (S3D) at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Dr. Yuvraj Agarwal. I also work closely with Dr. Mayank Goel, Dr. Amy Ogan, and Dr. John Zimmerman. I love to build systems—both hardware and software. My research is driven by a simple question: How can we make physical spaces smarter without making people uncomfortable? I build technology that addresses real human needs while respecting real-world constraints—computational, financial, and ethical. Currently, I am exploring these ideas through the Edusense classroom sensing project by enabling scalable learning analytics, the Mites project by building privacy-preserving building-scale sensing infrastructure, and the Autonomous project by creating AI-assisted living solutions for people with dementia. Before grad school, I worked on energy efficiency at Bidgely and completed my B.Tech at IIT Delhi.

We researched on Design, Diagnosis, Monitoring and predicting of real life Process Flow Networks in collaboration with Mr. Sayaji Hande(http://www.hande.in/sayaji/). We utilized notions of Markovian Networks along with Little's Law to model probabilistic nature of real networks, and build a Simulation Engine using Monte Carlo Simulations to understand and Monitor any network following random(exponential) arrival and processing on each node.
