• Developed a Domain Specific Language embedded in Haskell using Code Constructing User Tool(Coconut) framework. The tool runs the functional simulation of a program, generates the VHDL code and perform pipelining to increase the throughput, for Altera FPGA Boards.
• Implemented large scale optimization algorithms based on Quasi-Newton and Gauss Seidel methods. These algorithms were used to reconstruct 2 & 3-dimensional Magnetic Resonance Images for Sensitivity Encoding (SENSE) experiments.

• We proposed new hardware instructions for efficient evaluation of Elementary functions for a general purpose processors with fused multiply-accumulate instruction. We performed the simulations and reported the performance gains in my Masters thesis and a joint patent with IBM.
• As a research assistant in Dr. Anand's lab, I worked on formulating and solving the optimization problems, arising in Medical Imaging. This work gave me extensive experience in Semi-definite and Quadratic programming problems.
• Investigated the application of Integer and Linear programming methods to well known problem of Instruction Scheduling in compilers.

• Worked on efficient evaluation of both Single and Double Precision Mathematical Acceleration Subsystem(MASS) library functions for IBM POWER7 and Cell Broadband engines. Dr. Anand and I developed the accurate table methods, which we reported in an article published in ACM Transactions on Mathematical Software.
