I lead the design and implementation of a next-generation Supply chain management organization for Coupang's 2P business, driving scalability and operational excellence across our fulfillment technology. I lead multiple engineering teams across geographies, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution to support Coupang's rapid growth.
Rearchitecting Inventory Management systems, including the transition from a monolithic to microservices architecture. This effort improves system resilience, enables late binding for order reservation, enhances inventory provenance, and externalizes location recommendations for machine learning use cases.
A key focus of my role is the development of a new Inventory Data platform Service (ITS) using an Event-Sourced CQRS framework powered by Flink. This resilient and reactive microservice architecture is built to scale to millions of transactions per second (TPS), enabling real-time management of inventory across Coupang's fulfillment centers. The system supports order fulfillment at scale, handling more than 100 million units per day.
