• Autopilot is the foundational platform for Azure. It powers the physical machine infrastructure, software, storage, network and serves as the fabric for hyper scale platforms like Azure, Bing, Xbox, Exchange, Office, Commerce and various other online and cloud services.
• Led the overall strategy and delivery of an exabyte-scale distributed storage system – that scavenges stranded disk, memory and network resources from Microsoft worldwide datacenters and converts this unused capacity into block devices for tenants in need of reliable, persistent, high performance storage.
• Led the multi-year strategy, development and delivery of a relational database service tailored for cloud – that powers Microsoft’s e-commerce systems, advertising pipelines and various mission critical services for Bing, Azure, Xbox and Windows. The managed service provides a seamless way to setup, configure, ingest, manage and monitor SQL Server farms and offers 9999 availability, data replication, and automated recovery from datacenter failures.
• Led the strategy, development and successful delivery of a ring 0 service in Azure for distributed process coordination. The messaging (pub/sub) platform supports 100K publishers, millions of subscribers and offers ordered message delivery, at least once guarantee, 9999 uptime and <100ms latency.
