Hi - I am Kuntal. Formally, Dr. Kuntal Dey (PhD). I am a researcher (85+), inventors (215+ granted US patents), and a technical thinker/problem solver. Transforming technology, applied computer science, society, India, the World and people, all in positive directions, are my life-goals. Science/innovation/inventions and people are my two pillars of strength. Over time, I formed the practice of talking to anyone and everyone. I love hearing about people's personal stories, challenges, dreams, journeys and all they have to say. I find pride and joy in solving people's problems and giving them advice that improves them as solvers, executives, managers, researchers, engineers, communicators and individuals. I wish you the very best in all you do. ---------------------- Professionally, I work for the Software Engineering group in Accenture Labs since June 2020, as a Tech R&D Senior Principal. Here, I am working in Responsible AI/SE as my primary area. My work here is centered around AI-powered software engineering - from all the aspects. I lead a team of SE/AI researchers - the bigger team where I am a part of the leadership is 10+ researchers strong. Starting from January 2021, I am also acting as an Adjunct Faculty in Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Guwahati. At present, I am teaching a NLP course there, as well as advising a few students for their PhD. In my earlier job at IBM Research, I was nominated as IBM Master Inventor (2015), due to my strong contribution to IBM's patent portfolio (IBM Master Inventor: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Master_Inventor). My formal qualifications are diversified across (a) computer science (B E, M Tech, PhD), (b) psychological counseling and psychotherapy (MS) and (c) music (Senior Diploma).
