• I wrote the solver for the sourcing engine that is a pruning combinatorial algorithm to generate all possible solutions for sourcing. This algorithm analyzes all possible combinations for sourcing and provides the optimum solution based on business rules

• Retail Business Services: Integrate ticketing operational workflow with different external system e.g. pricing, purchase order, catalog, etc. reducing context switches for Amazon catalog associates leading to increase in productivity.
• Designed the solution as Data Access Object pattern which provided abstract interfaces for all external system
• Implemented the entire project of integrating external systems with ticketing system of Amazon.
• Vendor Central (Vendor Item Setup): Auto approval of New Item Setup Problem Statement: Removed all manual touch points in New Item Setup process of Amazon
• Analyzed and classified all kinds of manual touch points done by Amazon associates that can be automated. This included tasks like integrating with different external system to fetch the value automatically, providing handy features e.g. string replacement, mathematical operations to compute all derived values from input data and style format checks including spell checks.
• Built a new bucket of errors called ‘warning’ to highlight cases where machine is unable to take a decision.
• Integrated with amazon’s multi lingual dictionary and enhanced it based on our requirements such as whitelist, removal of specific attributes like brand/ Model from dictionary check
• Implemented vendor data error classification automation that helped Amazon to identify most frequent mistake and take necessary step to minimize error. This drastically reduced the vendor data errors.

• Retail Business Services: Built a reporting framework for Amazon Retail Business Services to serve the entire reporting requirement needed to make effective business designs for Amazon Retail.
• Built a java based platform that interacts with various data sources such as MySQL, Oracle, S3, WSDL services to fetch data and process them and eventually provide reports. It also included a web page to select filters for report, download reports, upload business data manually and also view graphs based on selected metrics.
• Built more than 30 different kinds of report across different business with Amazon providing data through email, S3 downloads, windows share. Tools supported xls and csv file fomat.
• Built generic parser to parse any excel file and convert that into Java object which is used by various metrics based on business logic for that metrics.
• Retail Business Services: Enable all backend data provision to enable Oracle Business Intelligence tool.
• Integrated various data sources in amazon with Retail Oracle database with proper frequency and reliability enabling building Oracle Business Intelligence tool on the same database
• Migrated the database of required application from MySQL to Oracle.

• RBS Timesheet: Build a New Item Timesheet webpage for Retail Business Service of Amazon to get progress metrics for every user across all Countries.
• Built a webpage based on tomcat server with UI in JSP to capture data entered by RBS Associates
• Amazon Flexible Payment System: Migrated the code base of Flexible Payment System from Mason/Subversion to Amazon build system and Perforce.
• Kick started and laid the project plan for migrations of entire code base of Flexible Payment System from Maven build System and subversion code repository to Amazon internal build system and perforce code repository. This expedited the code support and development cycle for the project.
