• Led entire Travel engineering across Globe. It was a small team though with high ownership. The team owned 18+ microservices and each engineer in the team had a business impact of $50+ million every year from the revenue standpoint.
• Had taken ownership of entire travel domain and worked across teams to ensure travel customers had wonderful experience as part of pre purchase, post purchase workflows like search, purchase, check-in,cancellation and refunds. Similarly for merchant workflows like on-boarding, inventory management, payments, among others.
• On a periodic basis, worked with strategic and business partners to finalize and fine tune the roadmap.
• Apart from stakeholder management and planning, worked closely with team for growth and development. This was one of the core responsibilities to ensure team remained motivated, was continuously growing and delivered quality features consistently.

• Groupon was an enriching experience.
• Got a rare opportunity to work across both travel and goods/eCommerce domain at an international scale. This allowed me to grow as an engineer and build systems which met the needs of a variety of businesses.
• The small teams had ensured a breadth of learning about the business, product and the complex systems required to power these domains.
• Experience in travel focused on developing and enhancing engineering systems which facilitate merchant onboarding, supply integration, visibility of supply, sale, fulfillment and cancellation.
• While experience in the goods/ecommerce space touched more or less similar system components, it was a challenge in itself.
• The projects varied from platform development and architectural improvements to support new business model of third party marketplace for goods, platform development for integrating new channel managers for travel and redesigning and consolidating legacy microservices as part of migration from Groupon's own data centre to cloud, among others.
• Thinking about scalability, performance, optimizations, reviewing designs and mentoring were part of the everyday job. In addition, customers and business were central to the development. Looked into opportunities to add value to customers and business and often contributed to identifying problems and proposing ideas and solutions.

• Have been involved in Oracle Management Cloud, a microservices based SAAS product, from its nascent stage. The opportunity helped contribute in design and complete software development life cycle of the product.
• Was involved in the journey of product from an on premise solution i.e. Enterprise manager to a hybrid solution to today's standalone cloud offering.
• Worked across teams, which developed deeper understanding about intricacies of the product. Understanding of design, architecture and functionality, has allowed me to make new functionality proposals, which leverage cross functionalities and meet the needs of customers.
• Continuous academic pursuits have complemented the technical skills and helped me envision the product and features from a business perspective. Have used the learnings to identify and develop points of differentiation, and value addition for our customers.

• Part of Hardware Verification-Software Development Team.
• Worked on design and development of the tool SLRE(system level randomization exerciser). The tool was developed to carry out unit, integration and system level testing.
• The work involved learning new protocols and tool development. Also, worked on some optimization tasks, which involved parallelization and reduction of run-time.

• CISCO Systems-SNMP Automation for 12000 (GSR) router using the XR IOS
• Developed automation scripts in TCL(Tool Command Language) for SNMP MIBs (Management Information Base) using the interface of 12000 router. Also worked on some security aspects of the product.
