Triaging and fixing crash/stability issues caused due to wlan driver ( code is in C language )
MTRACE : Designed and developed a new logging system in the driver. It stores important logs in a buffer which can be viewed even after device crashes. This development was revolutionary in logging system and made triaging of crashes/other issues much easier.
Worked on throughput related issues/improvements of the whole system, so that proper speed is maintained for the end user.
TCP DL tput improvement: Developed a mechanism to dynamically change the number of TCP packets for which combined ack can be sent. This led to a major improvement in throughput. Effect was seen > 40 mbps in VHT80.
IBSS : Re-designed the whole data path and architecture of IBSS ( independent basic service set) feature. Implemented new queue management and scheduling of different packets in an optimized and efficient way so that all the connected peers in the network gets an equal chance.
Also took part in an extra project as RIDL client owner in which I have to be an end user and report the issues. This initiative was started to minimize the complaints of customers.
Monitor Mode: Designed and developed a new feature where a device can act as sniffer i.e it can capture all the surrounding packets. User can also apply filters on what type of packet he/she wants. Designed a new datapath for this feature.
