For major client in transportation domain migrate legacy FileNet Image Services & Content Services document libraries to Oracle UCM/Webcenter Content. Successfully migrated ~10 million contents to Oracle ECM 11g env. and cutover 22 applications to Oracle ECM.As a part of this project designed and developed migration methodology and reusable components for content extraction and import. Some of the tools and processes as mentioned below:
Batch File Creator
Source metadata extracts from legacy systems were provided in CSV format and to ensure accurate and swift creation of batch files, the process of creating batchloader input files were automated. It also enabled preliminary statistical validation of the source extracts before loading into UCM thereby ensuring migration being right the first time.
Due to this automation, we have been able to identify source extract discrepancies before migration and rectify them in the first step of the migration lifecycle itself.
Automate verification of checked in files
Post migration verification of content was on sampling basis as it was done manually. With this tool, we ensured 100% comparison at metadata level between source extracts and content migrated to UCM. This also gave a benchmark on performance expectations and is being used now as a sign off criterion for migration
